“A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.” ―John Lennon

Scott has an impressive record of success, having been in the financial services industry for over 40 years. He knows how to make sure the families he serves are comfortable with the entire investment strategy process. The Dorset, Vermont native has a Bachelor of Science in Art and Architectural History from Skidmore College, and is a Chartered Life Underwriter, having studied at the American College of Financial Services. He merged his business with Gardens Wealth Management in 2016 after a career path that included Garvin Guy Butler/ICAP (NYC), Smith Barney (Rutland, VT), GFI Group (NYC), and Smith Barney/ Morgan Stanley (NYC).

He loves American history, sailing and thinks a perfect wish evening would be spent chatting with David Bowie and John Lennon. Scott enjoys reading about American history and visiting historical sites, like Fort William Henry and Fort Ticonderoga in northern New York State. He’s a student of the French and Indian War and recommends Montcalm and Wolfe The French and Indian War by Francis Parkman, a book on his desert island list. Scott would rather be on a boat almost anywhere than laboring on the land; you’ll find him coastal cruising from Sag Harbor to Cape Cod Bay during the summer. To pass the star-filled nights aboard, he reads William F. Buckley Jr.’s Atlantic High, a delightful throwback to civilized life before technology made us permanently connected to every microsecond of the news cycle.
